I am an international student in Toronto and my finance is a permanent resident here. We go to the same university. I want to get sponsored and was wondering what is required to do. We are from Pakistan. I'll be graduating this fall and was hoping to apply this summer.

Could you guys please suggest how will that be possible?? What are the chances and how long does it usually takes??

You would either need to live together for at least 12 months and be able to prove it or get married before your fiance can sponsor you.

If you can prove to immigration that it's a genuine relationship and your fiance is approved as a sponsor, then the chances of being approved are almost 100%. If you apply through Pakistan, you are looking at one month in Mississauga plus additional average of 8 months in Islamabad. If you get a post-grad work permit after you graduate your course, you will not be pressed for time and can stay in Canada while you wait for processing. Another option would be to apply inland in Canada but it has the downside that you are not advised to travel while you are waiting for processing and it can take a long time if things go wrong.
