Confused about definitions please help! -

Please help little confused...

I am a Canadian citizen no kids. I am getting married to my future husband (Indian citizen.. no kids).

I was going over the applications and this part confuses me

"You must list all family members in your application for permanent residence, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not. You must also provide details on family members whose location is unknown (including those missing or presumed dead). If you don’t, you will not be able to sponsor family members at a later date if they are not listed on your application.""



What do they mean by family members? Does that include my husbands dad mom, and his siblings?
This is our first marriage and we both have no kids. please helpppp thanks


Also by dependents - what do they mean ? ? - again would I ignore this part, since he has no children

Any help will be appreciated
