no there is no way to confirm if CIC received your application or not. we waited for more than 3 months and called CIC 20-30 times but no reply. we called them again on morning may 1st and they said there is no record in their system and i got an email with approval after half an hour. i mean to say " we can not do anything, calling CIC doesnt help at all. you can confirm with courier company about delivery nothing else.
we had a protest against CIC in chandigarh yesterday :)
best of luck :)

Ok, thanks for the info. Its all about a waiting game ???

It's not really a game because the other side holds all the cards. It would be more of a game if things were a bit more transparent and practical. Yes, waiting sucks, no doubt...but it also teaches us to be more patient. The next time I am in a line at the grocery store (in Canada with my wife and son :P)...waiting for 5 minutes, while others around me are getting frustrated, I'll tell them they really ought to go through the CIC course on patience...

That's a good humor:) Indeed it's all about patience and handling frustrations...

Indeed! I'm an Air Traffic Controller....I suppose I'll have to apply the principles of "patience" with CIC!!!

yes...i wait 3 months to get letter from CIC...
its hard to wait when the proccess is a limbo and burocracy..
you are right is a game but with dirty rules...the only things that we ask for its more infoooooo please participate in CIC survey so we can ask them for more info..

good luck
