Conference in Canada

I am a Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture, in a Government owned University in Nigeria, I am also undergooun a PhD program in my University. I want to go for a conference in Canada in line with my program but I don't have a travel history, what is my chances of getting a Visa . I need advice please.

Given the large number of Nigerian asylum seekers and your lack of travel history your chances of approval are not very good. Is your employer or the conference sponsoring all your airfare, accommodation and conference fees? That would also be important.

The chances of approval are quite low.
