Dear friends
I am looking to buy a house either condo apt. or townhome condo. Although i have read the basic difference and benefits between both, I would like to take the opinion from all those who live / lived in these two.
Please advise, as a general suggestion, which would one can be opted condo town home or condo apartment.
regards
siyer

In general, I would opted for townhouse condo because of separate entrance. At least, during move in and outs, I don't need to reserve the lifts (give me more flexibility) and pay the relevant deposits to the property maintenance company.

Apartments will pay more maintenance fee because of the common areas.
Are normally smaller.
Will appreciate a little less than a town.
Town you will have clean snow and won't have a pool and gym normally.
for info in the GTA go to alrivas. com.

Some townhouses may have common area. Apartments doesn't always pay more maintenance fee because of common areas. The key is good housing management.

It depends on the location of the home.

Apartment doesn't mean you won't have clean snow and you won't have a pool and gym normally.

From an investment point of view I would go for the townhouse. More autonomy. Depending on where you live snow is not a big issue. A townhouse with a garage is ideal.

Hope you have already settled by the time :) My preference is condo. I shifted to downtown last month and rented short term apartment rentals in Toronto Mac Suites ( Mac suites.ca).
I think you posted in the wrong thread again. This thread is about owning either condo apt. or townhome condo. Create a new thread yourself and share your reviews about Mac Suites.ca.
