From the news today. National immigration law conference - vancouver

http://newsmobile.abs-cbn.com/global-filipino/04/08/16/immigration-canada-vows-to-cut-short-sponsorship-time/

Immigration Minister John McCallum said the long wait time for the processing of children, parents, and grandparents is unacceptable.

"The processing times have been extraordinarily and unacceptably high but because the inventories have been reduced, over the next year or two, those processing times will be coming down," he said.

To fast-track processing time, Canada is looking at its recent experience with Syrian refugees.

McCallum said if the ministry was able to process 25,000 Syrian refugees within four months, they may yet be able to cut down the wait times for the sponsorship of family members.

"We can transfer what they learned on refugees into doing it faster for families so that way we will increase the capacity of the department and it will be easier to address the family processing time issue," he added.

Normally, conditional PR doesn't hurt anyone and protects from marriage fraud. I say we should keep it instead for removing it.
Conditional PR has all the same benefits as a PR gets.

I agree with you, now if they can get starting cutting down the processing to
times ASAP lol it was on the news yesterday they'll be hiring more workers for the Middle East to speed up applications there, they should do that elsewhere as well.

any idea if it will be retroactive to those of us with Condition 51 already, or just for those PRs processed going forward?
