I'M doing my diploma in engineering right now in india, my last semester 6th is yet to be completed, the final exams will be in may month and results being declared neaeby end of june. And i have 16 backlogs yet my cgpa will be almost 6.22 or more. I want to apply at seneca for September intake my agent is advicing that candian colleges don't give conditional offer letter, and i should apply on may or june when i have every needed document to complete the application? Is it possible to still get admission so late ? Won't i be exceeding every deadlines? Please help.

Yes, conditional offers are very rare, I would be more worried about the 16 backlogs and your CGPA is not high. You will not get admission for sept 2019, look for Jan 2020 and beyond. Also if you have not completed IELTS you will need to do that and get at least a 6.0 in all bands to have a good chance of getting an offer letter in a reputed college.

My IELTS score will be good been attending training for it yes. Backlogs but do they matter? Never have i ever seen one written paragraph that how previous backlogs matter, and the website of seneca said i need minimum C grade to be considered for admission. But hey thanks for reply this helped a bit.

I am sorry, the way you are writing you will not get a good score. For example "My IELTS score will be good been attending training for it yes" is wrong. You should have said " My IELTS score will be good since I have been preparing for it and attending training courses for it,". From what you have written here, at least your writing is severely lacking.

Some colleges have specific requirements regarding backlogs, however Seneca College has nothing mentioned in their site. You should expect to be put in the back of the queue as people with better academic scores, or similar academic scores and no backlogs.

Yes you are absolutely right about it. We have Cambridge desinged exams and curriculum in the training and i have never scored more then 6. However, the other three module are exceptionally good the writing part suppreses them
I'm pretty scared for the admission or maybe the eager thrust of flying to canada or Something waiting till December intake can be a good idea and giving September intake a try is not bad too.

Writing part is very important, Writing is difficult to get a high score in but try for at least 6.0 band score. Listening, Reading and Speaking are all very easy. Even my marks in writing are bad, I only got a 6.5. Remember, they are not seeing what you write but how you write it, there are many spelling and grammar mistakes in your writing for which you will be penalized heavily in the test. Also, avoid using high level language when it is not needed, for example you said " ...the eager thrust of flying to canada". Thrust is indeed use to mean going forward but it would not be appropriate in this case. An ideal way of phrasing it would be " .... maybe I am eager to go to Canada" , we would also not use the word flying since you are not physically flying with your body.

Don't be too excited to go, I can understand you enthusiasim, but you need to keep it in check. Get an IELTS of atleast 6.0 in each, try to get more marks in bands other than writing. With good IELTS you can get into a decent college, ensure that you have enough time as offer letters and visa approval can take time.

I would suggest to aim at Jan 2020 at the earliest, don't rush in anything otherwise you will make mistakes.
