Hi all, I would be grateful if someone could answer my quetions for me. Pretty nervous about sending this off!

1. Due to personal circumstances I am no longer in contact with my family, I stopped talking to them in May 2015. My sponsor ( wife) has met them as she lived with me and my family before we moved out into our own place. Also I didn't have any friends at the time of when she came over to the UK so she did not get to meet anyone else apart from my family. We have met other people who are now friends who saw us being together.I have included a letter explaining this but i wanted to know if this would go against me on the application.

2. Do I need to include any of my payslips along with my sponsors payslips to prove savings? She also has to get a letter from her employer.

3. What happens after the application is sent to the visa office? Do people always get called for an interview before the visa has a decision on it?

What kind of Visa are you applying for? If it's a PR, do you intend to apply outland or inland?

It's for PR - outland. I'm applying from England

Ok so:
1 - CIC is reasonable people. You should explain upfront why you don't have touch with your family any more. A reasonable explaination like you gave should suffice. Your wife being the citizen or resident would be more what they are interested in. Provide ample proof that the relationship is genuine.

2 - No your wife will need NOAs / Option Cs or some explaination why they are not included. An offer letter may work. They just want to know the plan to support yourselves.

3 - An interview is usually only required if they have questions they would like answered. Unless they have questions, an interview may not be required.
