Concerns about sponsor's name.

(I posted this on the other site but I thought I might get a little more help over here too.)


Well my sponsor has always gone by his middle name.

1. Will it be a problem if some documents use his middle and last name?

2. Also, what about signing documents? He has only ever signed things using his middle and last name his whole life.

3. And when I write the story about us, do I have to refer to him by his first name? That would be strange as I have never called him by that. Also, the letters that family and friends have wrote about us only refer to him by his middle name as well.

As long as his middle name is an official name (on his passport), and you include it on IMM 1344A under given names, it's fine.

If it's actually an alias or not a name shown on his ID, then you should at least include an explanation.

It is included on his passport and all his identification.
I am also certain he signed his passport using his middle name.

So would he be okay to sign the forms the way he would normally sign his name?
