I am a seperated woman with two children aged ( 23 and 24) years old .
We were forced to leave our home country because of the war .
i am apply on the offshore asylum by a community sponsor.
As am filling IMM0008 i've faced a question i couldn't answer !

. How many family members, including you, are in this application (see instruction guide)? - Put the number of your family member whether they are accompanying you or not. The family will include a spouse, a common-law partner, dependent children, and dependent child of a dependent child.

My children depend on me because they were full time students then the last war had happened and they are not allowed to work here !

so how many family member should i put !?!?!
and do they count them as a de facto dependent ?

The number of family members, including you, is one (1).

Your children are unfortunately too old to be listed as dependents and included in your application. It doesn't matter that they are full time students, Canadian immigration will not accept them as your dependents. Effective August of this year, children must be less than 19 years old in order to be classified as dependents and included in their parent's application. So the number of dependents accompanying you is zero since your children don't qualify under this category. You are the only individual who can be included in your application to immigrate.

Can't i consider them as a de facto dependents ?!
as we have been living in the same house and we are blood relatives ?

Again, no. They would have to be less than 19 years old to be classified as dependents.

It doesn't matter that you have been living in the same house or that you are blood relatives. They can't be included. If you go ahead and list them as dependents, CIC will remove them from your application.

Why they do separate application for each of them? May experts can coment on this.

Sure - all three of them can do a separate application. However each of them would then need to find a a separate community sponsor.
