Hi All,

I have been wondering how one's landing experience will be all this while and I came across several folks who have shared their experiences.
I believe it will be useful if it was put together regardless of the kind of experience one may have.
So here goes.

Before I start, I need to list some ground rules:
1) Only paste the links for experiences
2) If you are glad or annoyed, please quote only the first 2 lines of the post and express your feelings or questions.
3) Do not abuse or post anything unprofessional that may hurt individuals. You may use the PM function to convey messages that need not be viewed by large audiences.
4) Check the previous posts before posting any experiences to avoid duplication.

i think move this thread to professional immigration forum

Dear forumites, some of these reports mention the importance of a good networking to find a job. I am here just to remember you that we have a Linkedin group to help us in this task when we land in Canada.

The group is closed and you have to PM me your e-mail address in order to be invited. Only the participants of the "FSW 2013 Applicants Timeline- Lets Network Here" will be allowed and your nickname will not be associated with your linkedin profile, unless you want to.

I'm waiting for your PM!

Dear Landed Members,

Any brother or sister with FSW COPR take the Qatar Airways flight to Toronto or any other city outside Quebec?

I have seen a lot of members share their landing experiences, but haven't found one for this sector, appreciate if anyone can share.

I know landing has to be completed in Montreal if you take the Qatar Airways flight, however just want to reach out to someone who has already experienced this.

Regards,

hi - i was just blessed with the good news today that i received my Visa!! now i am worried about the actual LANDING PART AT Toronto Pearson Airport....

Can someone please explain it in detail....exactly what i have to do and how - my spouse sponsored me - i received my passport with a document and ofcourse alot of the evidence i had sent....

the document is unclear as to what i should do with it - im assuming its to be given to immigration officers at toronto airport???

Apart from that - how do i declare my assets....i am pakistani and I have lots of jewelry as you can imagine so what should i do - take pics and put their price with them?? if someone has done this or has an example please share.

Anything else I should be prepared for pro or post arriving at Toronto???

I was raised in Canada so settling in shouldnt be a biggy only worried about this arrival procedure.

My wife came from lahore and the only question at toronto airport was that how many more people are behind you (so the immigration officer had to deal with them) other than that there is hardly anything except they have given couple of books to get familier with what to do next after landing or after going home because you have to apply for health card and SIN card because every body is a sinner. (by the way people can bring lots of jewlery or clothing whatever they want the first time)
