I received an email from CIC saying that I have submitted an incomplete Schedule A Background/ Declaration (IMM5669) and Additional Family Information IMM5406. I am currently getting Sponsored under Common law Spousal Sponsorship. Who should complete these forms, the principal applicant, the sponsor or both should complete them?

Those forms are for the person who is being sponsored.

Thats what I did. I checked back on the form Additional Family information (IMM5406) and it said that the pricincal applicant and their spouse should complete their own copy. However on the check list, it stated that the principal applicant only should complete the form. confused!!!

IMM0008, IMM4506, IMM5490, IMM5669 are the forms for the person being sponsored. But our wasn't common law. It may be a little different requirements for common-law.

The "and their spouse" part would only apply if both persons were being sponsored. If the case of a spousal sponsorship application, one of those persons is the sponsor and would not need to submit the form.

Ok thanks. I checked over my information and the only section I see that could be a problem is under schedule A (IMM5669) 7. Education. eg
High school September 2003- may 2009.
College September 2009 to May 2012.
I left out the months from May 2009 to September 2009. By any chance do you think this could be the problem?

Unfortunately, yes. You cannot have any gaps.
