It took me WEEKS to fill out, proofread, gather photos and other required documents, proofread again and again until everything starts to run together and nerves do not help.
I have worked many different jobs mostly contracted teaching ESL through Chinese companies , but I am not currently working here in Canada as I am waiting on a decision for my Open Work Permit I submitted with my Common-Law Sponsorship paperwork.
My question is:
I filled out my common-law and open work permit apps exactly the same with my previous work history. I know my dates were not exact because I simply can't remember, however I did the best I could. What is throwing me for a loop now is I had to send in a visitor extension this week and I found my previous visitor extension(from 2017) with my correct employment on it and there is a descrepency with employment dates on two of the companies I worked for and one was teaching on my own through Skype. I don't want them to think I purposely lied. I cannot believe I made this mistake because I was so careful!

My local MP's office said to not contact them at this point so as not to bring attention to it, but I am worried...I'm not worried about my visitor extension approval because I have proof I have applied for common law sponsorship, provided a letter of explanation with letters from friends and my partner's income is well over $60000, but it is the biggie that I"m worried about..the sponsorship and open work permit paperwork.

Any advice on what you would do if you were me? Do they automatically stamp it denied or would they have you a chance to explain? It's not like i made tons of money..it wasn't much at all, but the point is I want to be as truthful as I can be. ugh! #STRESSFUL

Oh I didn't realize we could do this!!!! Thank you so much. I think I might do this.
Do you think it would red flag me in any way? In other words, they might think "why didn't she tell us this to begin with?" but they literally just started processing.
Thank you for this information. I didn't realize we could do this.

not correcting the information IRCC earlier have is likely to raise red flag.....and not your providing an updated form with the correct information with a note to explain

Okay. Thanks. I will try this. I don't know WHY..well actually yes I do..I had worked on my paperwork so hard and for so long..I failed to proofread my employment before I mailed it in..there are several dates that are wrong and there are a couple of times that I was unemployed that I failed to mark which now I see I should have also notated that..ugh! This is scary but I do NOT want to be denied for sure! THanks.
