Common Law Sponsorship is ongoing do I need tourist visa?

If I would send my Common Law application ... is this implied status?
Do I need a visitor or work visa to stay in Canada or can I stay because I applied for Sponsorship?

maybe a stupid question?

No, submitting your PR app will not give you Implied Status. You must continue to extend your visitor status throughout the process.

Depends on what the officer reviewing your request gives you.

Both times I've renewed I got the extended period of time I requested. 10 months and 1 year exactly.
