Just to Verify once more,

I know it has been told to me that a Common-Law Relationship can be fulfilled in any country for 1 year. Is this accurate or is it only fulfilled if it is within Canada?

A really awesome member here told me that fulfilling 1 year anywhere in the world together with partner as long as sufficient proof is presented, is considered a Common-Law.

Just triple checking. I know this member is super super accurate, but just making sure before I make this major move in my life to be with my partner for a year or longer to fulfill this.

Thank you!

Common law is minimum one year cohabiting any where in world not just Canada. You need to show proof such as shared bills, shared accommodation and so on
