Common- Law Question

Hello,

Me and my boyfriend are applying for PR through CEC with myself as the principal applicant. We are common-law and have been for the past 5 years, we have a mortgage, joint bank statements and lease documents from the UK to prove it. Do we also need to complete IMM 5409? If so, what is the process of doing this? I have been trying to find a guide online but cannot find one..

Yes, you need to fill out the form (married people have to provide a marriage certificate, common-law provide this document).

Fill out the form, but don't sign it - you and your partner have to go together to sign it in front of an official witness (e.g. notary public, commissioner of oaths).

It seems self-explanatory to me, so do you have any specific question?

Thanks for your reply. On the top of the form where we list our names, address etc. do we list our home address in the UK as that's where we began being common law or our current address in Canada?
