Hi,

This may be a bit trivial but when submitting the application to sponsor a common law partner, should the account on the immigration website, through which the fee is paid, be done by the sponsor or the sponsored person? In our case only the sponsored person has an account on the IRCC website, but the sponsor can make a new one and pay through theirs if that is better.

Also should the sender of the mail be the sponsored person or the sponsor? (if it makes any difference)

Anyone can pay the fee, it doesn't make a difference.
Personally when we mailed the application we put it in the Principal Applicant's name because thats who is applying.
