I currently hold an approved study permit application (applied as Single). However, I have not yet travelled to Canada because of the pandemic. I am planning to travel in the coming months.
I have been living with my partner for almost 3.5 years now and intend to apply for a common-law open work permit for my partner. I happened to come across a discussion in the forum about not being able to sponsor common-law because the principal applicant applied for a PR individually (Keeping marital status as "Single"). Is the same applied here? If yes, How can I rectify this before landing in Canada?
