Common Law, living together 1yr. in Canada only?

Hi,

I am looking to sponsor my girlfriend, I'm a Permanent Resident and we've lived together for a year, however 6 months of that year we lived in Mexico. Does that count? Or do I have to live with her in Canada for 1 year for it to count?

it doesn't matter where you lived as long as you have proof. myself and my boyfriend lived in the uk for 1.5 yrs together and almost a year here in Canada, as long as you have leases, or letters/bills that show you lived at the same address for over 1 year it is fine
