OK just a quick one really to see whether you guys think we will be able to apply and pass under the common law...

Intending on Applying OUTLAND in July 2010.

Common law Details:

Known each other for 10 years, been in a relationship for coming up on 2 (will b over 2 in July), lived together since July 09 - July 10 (my open work permit expires July 10).
Currently Hold 2 joint Bank Acc - sav and Chq, Joint Life and Car Ins, copies of credit cards, We adopted a Cat together! Rent Leese, can prove life together via letters addressed to both and either of us. Cars, Driving Licences registered all to same add. proof of buying furniture etc

These have all been opened over the last 7 months.

Relationship things

Proof of visiting one another - ticket stubs, Passport stamps, holiday recipts
Cards, emails and Letters
About a GaZillion Pictures - Sorry i'm a Photographer! :P
Proof of School together


Cant think of anything else off the top of my head...

Verdict anyone?

Looks good!
Don't overdo photos, go for quality over quantity.

Thanks Swede - Is their anything you can think of the top of yer bonnet that i'm missing?
Obviously Medical and Police check - will sort when i'm back in the UK
 
2 Statutory Declarations from people vouching about your relationship.
Also, you can get more regular letters written from other people. But I believe in the checklist for common law you need two statutory declarations notarized.

Also, you could include copies of cards and receipts for gifts.
Just some suggestions.

Oh silly me, I over read the part where you said you are including the cards and letters.
Oops, I am sorry. It has been a long day.

The most important thing is that you can prove you have been living together for a year. If the joint lease started last July, then OK. If not, I'd wait for five more months.

My sponsor and I got letters from her parents, her godmother and two of her best friends, all signed and witnessed by a notary public (somewhat overkill to have a notary witness the signatures, but we paid her in beer so it wasn't too expensive). The letters describe our relationship and why they think it's true and lasting.

Sorry hate to ask this whats a notary public? just a random? Could you give me a demo in word form? sorry i realize i'm consulting you in 2 different things!
