Common-law application - Previous marriages

My partner is going to sponsor me for Common-law application. I have questions regarding his previous marriages.

His 1st marriage - We can provide the divorce certificate.

His 2nd marriage - He and his ex only separated (not divorced). Should we provide and upload their marriage certificate to the application? (We will write a letter of explanation for their separation.)
