Hello,

I have submitted my Permanent resident application as a common law partner a few weeks ago!I applied from the country and was goimg to stay until the prosedure! In the meantime my partner was offered a job abroad!
If he desides to take the job and i leave the country with him,how does this affect to my application?
1.Can i just notify someone tgat i left the country but i still wants to continue the application?
2.If i have to reapply can i get back the application fee at least and use for the application again?
3.When can i come back to the country again?

Thank you so much for your help,
Bobojsza

did you apply inland or outland?

I have applied from Canada!
Thought i will be here during the procedure,it seems i will leave with my partner!:S

if you applied inland, meaning your application is being processed inside canada, not at a visa office abroad, both the sponsor and applicant must be physically living in canada during the entire application process. for inland applications, the applicant can't be living in canada while their sponsor is working abroad long term. if one or both of you leave the country for a extended period of time, the inland application will be considered abandoned and closed. you need to decide whether it's worth the risk.

if the sponsor is a canadian citizen and will be working outside of canada long term, then you will want to consider withdrawing your inland application and reapplying outland.
