College's offer letter will expire by the time I'm done with visa application process, what do I do?

Hello. I applied for a study permit very recently for the Jan term but my college's offer letter expires on Aug. Will this affect my visa application? I am able to defer it to Sept or later and I intend to do that, but how do I inform the visa officers of the letter's expiry?
