Hi everyone. I'm an international student taking up practical nursing in Toronto, Canada. I am on a student visa and hope to eventually be able to register with CNO after taking and passing the licensure exam. I was told that I could register with CNO if I have a valid work permit. Now the question is, will I be able to register on a post-graduate work permit OR will I have to hold an actual working visa w/ an employer willing to hire me?

If so, will the work have to be particularly related to practical nursing/healthcare or it wouldn't matter as long as I get a work visa?

Thanks!

Hi,

This question is more related to the registration regulatory body CNO, They will be the best to answer your question. Call the CNO and ask them what they required from you for registration as RN or RPN. Visit the website for more details http://www.cno.org/ or call the numbers
