Hi Guys,

I wonder what are the required documents to apply for co-op ? I checked this page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-coop.asp but I did not understand the following condition:

Your employment must be part of your academic, vocational or professional training program offered by a designated learning institution, certified by a letter from a responsible academic official of the institution.
So what is the letter should exactly state ?

Thanks

you will need to get a letter from your co-op office which should state that co-op is an integral part of your education program...

Talk to your co-op program coordinator and he/she should know the process (hopefully) else talk to international students office in your school.

well on your letter of accepatance,it states whether there will be practicum during your studies. If that is the case ,
then you can use the LOA acceptance.

Thanks a lot for your reply. One more question please, can I apply for the co-op without having an offer from a company in hand ?

Yes, you don't need a job offer to apply for the co-op work permit.

You need to be enrolled in a College or University.

1. You need a LOA,

2. A Letter specifying the Co-op, it's length and how it's related / required to your course of study.
