Co-op Experience in Schedule A Background Declaration

Hi people thanks for coming in ;D

So for my undergraduate education I had 3 Co-op jobs. I am wondering how I should declare my Personal History on Schedule A?

Option 1:
Sep 2008 - Dec 2009 University Student at XXX University
Jan 2010 - Aug 2010 Coop student at Company A
Sep 2010 - Apr 2011 University Student at XXX University
May 2011 - Dec 2011 Coop Student at Company B
...

Option 2:
Sep 2008 - May 2013 University Student at XXX University

I feel like Option 2 is so much less confusing for the visa officer. However, putting down Option 2 would somehow contradict my addresses in the past 10 years, as one of the Co-op job flew me to the other side of Canada

Any advice? Thanks!

I'm in similar situation. I would go for option 2 stating university period first but then below mentioning the three coops separately; they should understand.

Agree with ezcec - overlapping dates are OK, just NO GAPS!

May 2011 - Dec 2011 Coop Student at Company B
Jan 2010 - Aug 2010 Coop student at Company A
