Hi everyone,
I am trying to get a little advice from you guys. I am from Barbados and am interested in taking the CNC Programming course that Seneca offers. Our official language here is English. I guess I should tell you guys a little about myself and my situation.

I am 26 years old and married. I have an associates degree in mathematics and information technology, graduated in 2008. Since then I have been working in customer service at a major airline.

My question is really, what are the chances of me being granted a student visa with OCWP and my wife being granted an open work permit if the comes to Canada with me? She has her bachelors in management, graduated in 2010 and has worked as an administrative clerk, mainly doing accounts receivable since then. Also after graduation, will I be granted a PGWP? Also can my wife also continue to work after my graduation?

I know it is alot but any help is greatly appreciated.

CNC programing u need some background in machining, reading machine drawings etc ur back ground with IT and mathematics as well as ur work experience in customer service could cause visa rejection assuming u need a visa to study in canada. U need mechanical background for CNC programing

The only thing I could think of is that I have a CXC certificate in Technical Drawing. Think that would help anything?

i dont think it will matter much .....u should go for some course in IT

Thanks for the info. Will if I find any IT courses I'm interested in. What about applying for an electrical course? Or electromechanical engineering? Don't mean to be a nuisance.

anything other than IT or mathematics could be a risky choice ......there is a slight chance u may get lucky with wrong course but if u see on this forum most of rejections r due to wrong course selection.
