CLOSED WORK PERMIT & PANICKED

Hi:

I have applied for a CLOSED WP with my employer on February 18, 2015. I have not received any reply from the CIC Work Permit department.
my question is What category do fall under WP.......

1) Work Permit Extension (new employer)?
2) Work Permit Extension (same employer)?

My PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit) is going to expire on June 11, 2015.Today called to CIC agent and she said that it will take another month to get a decision.it's most likely that i will not have any response from CIC before my PGWP expires, Since they are very busy with Ton's of applications.

What would be my options if my Closed work permit get refused?
Do i have to leave Canada or I can go to Border to apply a closed work permit. I have a TRV which is valid until June 30, 2018.

If any body has gone through same situation please kindly reply.

When did you call them ? As the processing time has been updated you can call them tomorrow once again and see what is happening with your file.

I am in the same boat I applied on Feb 16th and my application say it's open . And my work permit is already expired.

Did u apply online? Mine is paper application!

Yes I applied online. I will call them tomorrow and make sure what is The status on my file.

They still work on paper applications submitted february 3 (new employer) and january 25 (same eployer).

You can't go to next step without uploading all the documents. Just upload a word file stating your Application# UCI, DOB and upload it.

My work permit already expired on 3rd april. I applied for close wp on 3rd march with bc pnp support letter bcoz my pnp was expired while applying. Worried that so many got rejection who have applied after pnp expired. Hope will get good news within a month. Feeling tensed now.
