Closed permit changing to FTE

Hi all,
I have a closed work permit but not working right now.
I have been in interviews in other companies and now I will get an offer as a FTE.
Can I accept the offer? What do I have to do to change my work permit?

You need a new work permit - you cannot change your current work permit. To get a new work permit, your new employer must obtain an approved LMIA. Once your new employer has an approved LMIA, you must apply for a new closed work permit. Once that work permit is approved you can start working for your new employer.
