Hi, I have a question regarding how to declare my canadian clinical fellowship ( medical) under the express entry profile:
It was a one year program under a canadian university, however it is a postgraduate career so would it be better to say :
a) one year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute, or
b) Master`s degree or professional degree needed to practice on a licensed profession

Also, would this count as work experience if its payed, and I had a work permit? When they ask me if I was a full time student at the time does it apply?
Thanks

Believe clinical fellowship is considered work not even though it is under a university medical school. Others should weigh in since this is not a common question. You usually can't claim points for both work and studying for time in Canada especially since you are applying based on the same tasks.

Assume you realize that the fellowship doesn't help you to practice medicine in Canada, if that is your goal, unless you have trained in a few select countries. Assume you have looked into and were told during your fellowship that getting licensed as an IMG is difficult due to the lack of available residency positions after Canadian schools match. It is slightly easier in a few if the less popular residencies and if you speak French. Finding a job as a specialist could also be difficult. There are too many of some specialists in Canada.
