Clearification on hour required for CEC application

Hi all, pls guys I need clearification on the calculation of hours for the CEC application. I have being working 30hrs/wk from March 7 to Nov 30, but my hours dropped to 25hrs/wk from Dec 1 to Jan 14,pls what’s the implication of this to my application? Does this mean that I have to work nor than the required 52wks to make up for my lost hours or is my 25hours/ wk wasted? Pls clearify

Yes, you can count part-time work, but it is pro-rated (meaning, yes, it will take a little longer than 52 calendar weeks to qualify). It won't be much though, if you went back to full-time work after Jan 14.

So from Dec 1-Jan 14 is 6 weeks. 25 hours per week * 6 weeks / 30 hours per week means you have the full-time equivalent of 5 weeks in part-time work. So basically, you will have to work an extra (full-time) week to qualify.
