My husband got arrested for selling alcohol to a minor while working in a gas station in US. He found guilty and got the Class B Misdemeanor. This was about a year ago. We both are eligible for principal applicant.

I'll be the principal applicant, and we will submit my husbands crimial record documents with explaination. Do you think it will be a problem to get PR? Is this crime is inadmissionable? what is the punishment for this type of crime?

Please reply..........

Please read the link below to understand CIC's take on Inadmissibility. If the crime committed outside Canada has its equivalence in Canada then I believe the punishment is 10yrs or more imprisonment.

You can try for PR, be honest in all your declaration and hope for the best. The FBI record for your spouse will indicate the arrest anyways....so just be honest when you apply.
