Hi,
I just started my process for process towards PR. I am a mechanical engineer (Graduated in India) with 9 years of work experience, of which 4 years in the USA.
I have some questions.
1) I have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and then B.E mechanical. Is it needed to do ECA on both Diploma & engineering or only the highest (B.E) is considered for CRS points system?
2) Can I have the ECA done in any agencies approved by CIC irrelevant of which province I want to settle?
3)How is the job market for mechanical engineers in Canada now (specifically heavy industry construction and maintenance, Projects) ?
4)Is it hard to find a job with out a P.E license? Do employers consider non-Canadian experienced engineers?
5) Should I apply for a P.E even before I come to Canada?
As I do not see a lot of mechanical engineers here I wonder if it its very complicated for engineers work other than IT to find a job and settle.
Any information would help.
Thanks in advance
