I am a Sri Lankan born and living in Sri Lanka. My spouse is Pakistani and living with me in Sri Lanka.

I have applied for police clearance in Sri Lanka for both myself and my spouse. This is still in process. At the same time I have also requested my spouse's relative in Pakistan to obtain a police clearance certificate for my spouse. They have obtained the certificate for her. However in the certificate the "Country for certificate is required" is mentioned as Sri Lanka.

My question is will this be a problem?. In my opinion since the request for obtaining the certificate was made from Sri Lanka it shouldn't be a problem. But I want the opinions of seniors please.

I will eventually be submitting both Sri Lankan and Pakistani police clearance certificates along with my application.

It is okay. If something is wrong with your PCC's you will be informed by the responsible visa office, and it will not be a reason to refuse your application as PCC's are not mandatory at the very first stage.

Thanks RomanSPb for your valuable input. Can anyone else second this??
