Hi friends,

I'm preparing papers for my wife - I'll be applying under family class for her. I'm a PR. Here are some questions - your responses will be appreciated. Thanks.

Case 1: Document Checklist (IMM 5533) page 4 (principal applicant's form section) mentioned to provide "birth certificates for yourself (principal applicant) and all family members, whether they are accompanying you to Canada or not). Similary it asked for "National ID" for youself (principal applicant) and all family members if applicable).

My question is what is meant by family members (is it referring to my wife's parent and brother/sister as well). Is it required to provide birth certificates for her parent and brother/sister??

Case 2: Can I include my wife's police certificate with initial application that I will be sending? The docuemnt checklist says "You do not have to submit police certificate now. After application is received, police certificate and Schedule A bacground declation form will be requested....

Case 3: IMM 5532 (Relationship information and sponsorship evaluation form)
Q3 asked for "other financially dependent people)" - should I include my parent in this list?

Case 1 a family member is recognized a spouse and dependents.parents aren't rocgnized as a family member.so take only your birth certificate and national id . Case 2.dont submit your police certificate and schedule A until requested from ircc. Case 3.dependent are only your wife and your children dont include parents

1. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5289ETOC.asp#family

2. If you already have it, you may as well submit it.

3. If you financially support your parents, then yes, include them.

Thank you guys for your responses.

I'll add police certificate later since I don't have it now and I'll include my parents in "other financially dependent people" section.

Thanks.
