It’s a federal program. Takes about 20-24 months for a hearing date....maybe a bit sooner, but unlikely.
I know those details I might not be clear before I was just tried to know if you know any case of people who are claiming in Alberta and if the refugee board is rough

Filling your claim in Alberta doesn't necessarily mean the judge/member will be in Alberta too. Your hearing may be held via video conference from another Province.

Hello Cassablanca,

I have this time line for my refugee claim in Calgary, Alberta.

27 Dec 2019 Submit application
20 Jan 2019 Referral to RIB

I am still waiting for my hearing date. I know it will be postponed more because of the Covid-19 issue.

I would like to know about your timeline to get some reference about the situation. Thank you very much

Shanwari,

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. This help a lot. It takes you almost 2 years 8 months from the asylum application to the PR. Thanks again

that would be considered fast processing. Others in Alberta may be closer to 5 years. It is highly variable.
