I know those details I might not be clear before I was just tried to know if you know any case of people who are claiming in Alberta and if the refugee board is roughIt’s a federal program. Takes about 20-24 months for a hearing date....maybe a bit sooner, but unlikely.
I did apply in May 2017 and got hearing 16 May 2018 via video conferencing, it was pretty good and got approval same time in less then 40 mint .I just made my asylum claim in Alberta on November 2018 does anyone know anything about the hearing date ? HiHello Cassablanca,
I have this time line for my refugee claim in Calgary, Alberta.
27 Dec 2019 Submit application
20 Jan 2019 Referral to RIB
I am still waiting for my hearing date. I know it will be postponed more because of the Covid-19 issue.
I would like to know about your timeline to get some reference about the situation. Thank you very much
Shanwari,Hi
I did apply May 2017 in Edmonton got hearing date 16 May 2018 , got decision on same date , got Pr card 25th February 2020 and that was video link hearing, in the room it was me and my lawyer only , the judge was on video call .
that would be considered fast processing. Others in Alberta may be closer to 5 years. It is highly variable.Shanwari,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply. This help a lot. It takes you almost 2 years 8 months from the asylum application to the PR. Thanks again
