do you know when they got the letter from Vancouver office for the oath?

My friends got their letter for the oath of February 21st 2012. We are still waiting for ours. We gave our test on November 8th in Surrey, BC but still waiting for the letter. Just have patience. It will come. :)

just to update:

called CIC call center today, and was told that a letter mailed already (i havn't received yet), and the the oath is on 20Apr. Finally, this is close to its end.

hi Ex Dubai,

Do you know the process after the oath? I need to get a passport to travel in late May, would I have enough time?

We finally took our oath yesterday. It was very exciting and emotional. Just have patience everyone. Hi b1b1b1, We will be applying for our Canadian passports next week. It takes 10 days to receive it. We will then cancel our Indian passport.

Hi!

Applied March 9, 2011 Vancouver
Test March 8, 2012

We are still waiting for the letter of the oath.

you might still need a couple of months. for me, got letter after 2 months from test, and 1 more month for the oath.

My time line follows as this:

Applied: February 2011

Citizenship Test: January 22 2012

Oath: Still Waiting

Anyone took the test the same day and received the Oath Letter, please share.

applied April 2011,
Test date Jan 18,2012

Still waiting for answer

A friend of mine who took the citizenship exam on the same day as me received his invitation oath a while ago. However, CIC now send him another letter stating that his ceremony was postponed. I believe that this is due to the low numbers of attendees for the ceremony and that a lot of individuals who wrote the January citizenship exam will receive their oath letters within the next weeks.

One burning question to which I still do not fully comprehend/understand the logic is: Why does CIC take so long to send the oath invitations considering that all of your immigration application are ought to be process prior to taking the test? Furthermore, does anyone know if the Vancouver CIC office is generally more slower then other major cities in Canada?

Thanks, in advance.

Hello, I just wanted to inform you all, that i received today my invitation to appear for a citizenship oath on the 12th of May,2012. :)
I can finally say that I am content with my situation. Thanks you all !!!

Sidenote: Adrienne Louise Clarkson, the former Governor General of Canada, will be also attending this particular ceremony.
