I am wondering if you guys know whether marital status will affect the citizenship application. I was sponsored by my spouse to Canada (inland, I was on a PGWP). However, our relationship didn't go well, so we decided to separate. By the end of this year, I will be eligible to apply for citizenship but must declare "legally separated". In theory, this should not affect my application due to a broke-down of a relationship, but just wonder if it will raise any issue with the IRCC when they see that.
