citizenship for me and my son wife has dual

Hi there, please help me with some info.I am born and raised here in the united states, and my wife is Canadian,and we have a son now 4,I also have a 13 year old that lives with his mother here in the states, and we plan to move this coming year to Victoria where all of her family is,we have been together almost seven years now my questions are as followed yes i have been to jail all charges i have ever had are almost 13 years old,we had are child in the us but he's not half and half yet lol. basically we want out of here,really there more family then my family in the us so I'm wondering if i qualify being that i have a child with her and we have been together for 7 years and, i know most of her family if me and my son can get full residency once we move there and how hard it would be since she's Canadian dual does it make any difference we have a child together, and can we move there first we have no intention on coming back to the us being that is where are all the family is

Your wife will have to sponsor you for permanent residency (you must become a permanent resident before you can become a citizen).

You cannot move to Canada until you have permanent residency status. Before you have permanent residency status, all you can do is visit Canada.

Also note the OP states that has "been to jail" depending on the convictions, he may be inadmissible as either a visitor or PR, and my require rehabilitation depending on the convictions.
