Hi guys,

My wife (divorced earlier) and son became PR of Canada in 2012.
She applied for my PR through family sponsorship and I became PR in 2015.
As per the new CIC rules, we all are eligible for Citizenship (since I was under work permit in Canada since 2013).
My wife is applying for citizenship and I would like to know if she can include me in the same application?

Thanks in advance

You can still apply together if you are still married, however for each person there will be a separate application but you can put all the applications in one envelope and they will be processed together.

Hi, if you are all eligible then you can apply together as a Family Application. (If you are still married) Just make sure that all requirements are complete as if there's one missing then all the applications will be returned.

Basically is two individual applications in one envelope, so you still have to fill all the regular forms and attach the same documents as you would do as individual.

Thanks @humsafar and @Canven84

We are still married.

Since we will have to submit 2 applications in one envelope which means we both have to write the test right?

Yes, both have to write the test. The family is application is basically so test/interview/oath can be arranged on the same dates. Though there's not warranty that it can be accommodated, especially if for some reason one of the applications gets delayed (Needs more information, Police check, wrong presence days calculation, etc). Each application is treated as individual after getting AOR.
