Hi everyone,
I'm asking this on behalf of a friend.
He has completed the required 1,095 days of physical presence in Canada and has 68 days left before the 5-year eligibility window expires. He’s planning to apply for Canadian citizenship soon.
His 7-year-old child is a permanent resident but has mostly lived with the other parent and hasn’t met the 1,095-day requirement.
Can he include the child in his citizenship application? If yes, what’s the process?
Thanks in advance for any guidance!

The kids of Canadian citizen or the kids applying with their parents don't have any physical presence requirement. So yes, the parent can apply for the child at the same time.
Also, please note that the eligibility windows doesn't expire, it just shifts day by day to always cover the 5 years immediately prior to signing the application.

Thank you. This clears his doubts.
