citizenship application after parent/grandparent sponsorship

Hello:
I wonder whether acquiring your Canadian citizenship will have an impact on the submitted parents/grandparents immigration application, which is based on the PR documents? I hope to sponsor my parents and apply for citizenship in parallel (to save some time). Not sure if this may complicate things and get my applications processing delayed/rejected?
