Just saw this on the CIC website, does anybody know much about it. I sometimes struggle to find the exact information I require. Hopefully this 1 may be more user friendly.

"Coming soon—a fresh new look!
We're almost ready to launch a new look and feel for the CIC website. The changes will make it easier to find information and easier to use the site".

That would be nice! The CIC website is so stone age, it isn't funny. I don't think its been updated since the Commodore 64! I've noticed they've already changed their travel advisory site...much cleaner and easier to read!

I just saw this too when I went to log into ECAS today. I hope it's more simple and cleaner looking than the current site.

Some of the sections are already changed, I was noticing today that it looks different! :-) well - if it improves the access to information, changes are very welcome then!

Yeah the Come to Canada section looks new to me. It's all colorful and not just a wall of text. I hope the rest of the site continues in this direction.

A redesign would be great! Reading Canadian government websites makes me dizzy. I end up going in circles, links pointing to other links, similar pages with different titles but identical content, etc. It's like falling down a spiral staircase over and over again.

Awww I guess it's time to stop pretending it's still 1997 whenever I log in then!

LOL - more like 1985 - remember the monochrome yellow and green?

I know!!! Just when you "thought" you found new data, it's the same content 3 pages ago!!! Like a maze that ends up in the same place!

You know, what would be really nice is a small desktop applet that automatically updates from CIC and displays the date, time, and current status. So like a little tile on Windows 8 or desktop gadget in Windows 7 with:

<name>
2012-12-01
"In Process"
No new messages...

And maybe make it Green when all is well, Yellow when waiting for information (like they have requested meds, etc), and Red if there is a problem. It can flash when there is a new message to check.

It would save all that logging in and out and would satisfy the site camper in all of us. :)
