Dear Friends,

I am a Provincial Nominee and now at the CIC stage. Would like to know if being unemployed at this point of the application will have an effect to the decision of CIC to approve or refuse my visa application? Thank you guys in advance!

Depends if you got your nomination on the condition of your employment.

If not, (i.e. your provincial nomination is not based on a job offer), then there's no issue.

Hi! thank you for your reply.. no, having a job offer is not the reason for my provincial nomination.. i am just an ordinary outland applicant..i am really hoping there would be no issues as i am at the stage of waiting for the medical request..

Just keep praying and hope for the best. Normally CIC wont investigate ur current employment status but blv u are still gainedfully employed by asking u to send updated backgrnd sch forms. I ve seen where a visa office was asking for the last 6 months salary payslips along wit MR. Though, such request is very rare unless they suspect an info in ur form. U ll scale through by God's grace.
