I held a Canada Visitors Visa that was issued in Jun 2016 expired in Aug 2020 with my International passport validity. Therefore, I applied for re-issuance of Visitors Visa in May 2020. Paid full visa application fee. Was given an on-line account accessable vis GC Key username and password to check the status of my application. Over 16 months and counting, have not received my visa. Meanwhile in Feb 2021, I was asked to do my Biometrics AGAIN by paying $85 at VFS which I did (thought biometrics done in 2016 was valid for 10 years). Now, all of a sudden, I can no longer log on to my GEC Key account with my user name and password. Says my GC key has been REVOKED. I tried to creat another GC account and link my visa application No. but was uncessful as it no longer recognises my application number nor my UIC No.
I wrote a mail to the Visa consulate but auto reply - we will not be responding to any visa enquiry due to staff shortage. I'm lost...dont know who to contact again.
