I revised my sponsorship letter and i saw (maybe i was too excited when i read it first) that my name has a mistake in it and that they inversed my sponsored wife last names....I am pretty pissed...

Now, if I call CIC tommorow morning at 8am, will they be able to fix it....and tell Bogota when they receive the file....I guess it was already sent...

Hi there, I think you need to follow up with a fax to ensure that the changes are made. At least this way you have proof that you sent it... keep the confirmation! I am not sure you will get confirmation back from them that they got it but at least with the confirmation from the fax machine you will have evidence you sent it.

I'm thinking that even if you get lucky and the CIC call center agent can do something, it would only be done on Mississauga's side of things. You'd probably still have to send something separately to Bogota to make sure they got it corrected on their side as well. It's probably best to send both of them something, just to be safe. And make sure you retain proof of what you send them in case it ever comes up later.

the thing is in colombia, they will look at her identification card and passport and see that its been reversed...
