I submitted my application for spousal sponsorship back in August. My application was just returned this week saying we didn’t include my husbands passport page, but in fact a copy of his passport page was in our original application packet and was in the returned packet. If I resubmit my application I’m worried the same thing will happen and we’ll have waited another two months for them not to see my documents or find out there was something else wrong. I’ve tried calling 20 times today and can’t get through to an agent, and I can’t fill out a web form because I don’t have an Id number yet. What should I do? Mail it right back for another two months and hope they see all the documents I submitted correctly the first time? It seems wrong that I’m penalized when I did everything correctly.

that's unfortunate but not the first time I've read that on this forum. I would re-submit the application with a explanation saying it was included and missed.

Is his passport still valid? Make sure its all pages with a stamp and the one of the pic and info and his signature

Its brand new - he just got it last April. It only has a couple stamps in from our honeymoon to Paris. We need to include that? That’s not written anywhere... in fact it says just the page with his picture, expiry etc

Ive been trying to call all day today but my US number isn’t even getting me into a hold queue. It keeps hanging up on me.

You only need to include the page with the photo/info and signature. Atleast that's what we did, and it was fine. I am not sure where it states that you need to include pages with stamps. Is the passport page that you submitted all in English?

Yes, all English.

The PA needs to submit a photocopy of his/her passport. If you didn't include it in the application, then it was correctly returned.

I did include passport copies for both the pa and the sponsor. The return letter said that we didn’t include the sponsor’s but we did. Both were there.

Sometimes they make mistakes. It is very unfortunate, but there is not much you can do. I am not sure what you are hoping to learn via the web form or calling IRCC. They won't be able to tell you anything more than what was included in the letter sent back to you. All you can really do is send it back in and include a letter of explanation pointing out that the passport was there all along.
