It drives me crazy.... when you try to get hold of someone at the call centre but you can't...

i can totally relate... i have tried to call them at least 5 times...at times i redialed abt 10 times. never got through to a real agent.
:(

keep trying..

best days to call are thursday and friday mornings before 10 am
i have found
good luck

The times I have got through have been when I have called again and again for 30 minutes straight. I don't listen to all of the messages...I hit

1 1 1 1 - 0

And that either tells me the line is busy, or puts me on hold!

I agree, T/F mornings are the best times.

it is annoying, but I don't know if trying over and over is any good. I called them today, and I called 5x over the course of an 8 hour day. Got through at about 4:15, Toronto time. I think it's just a crap shoot, and you're going to drive yourself nuts by calling 50x.

So far I found calling right at 8:00 in the morning seems to work for me, I still have to try a few times, but its better then trying from 12pm - 4pm before finally talking to someone ( I'v done that >:( ). Also Wednesday - Friday seem to work the best for me also.

I call and hit 1 1 1 0 ... hang up if no Que, rinse and repeat

For me the problem was not talk to an agent, but find an agent who had some competences in immigration issues.
Like last week I got a letter from CIC asking me to provide further evidence of my common-in-law relationship so I called CIC at 9am, I told to the agent what I sent last year and his reply was "I think you sent everything we need, I don't know what you need to send more" You cannot imagine how much I would have loved to punch him in the face lol just jk of course...but what a f@c...ing reply is that!! :o

I know, you wait and wait and try several times, just to get someone that doesn't have a clue. I called to get my husband's application # because we hadn't received the sponsorship approval letter yet in the mail.. and the agent had no idea what I was talking about. She told me there is only the Client ID, which is 100% wrong!

The best time to call is first thing in the morning, at 8:00.

Hmmm... I usually get someone within 10 minutes of waiting. The trick is to call first thing when they open.
Oh no... have I just screwed myself over for when I try to call next? hehe. Just kidding. Good luck guys!
