Pre-Assessed..
Dear All,
I will like to know the calendar year of cic based on the following:

1. Certain number of applications are to be processed in a year, what happens to the backlog and those received at the tail end of the year that could not be proceesed.

2. Is there best time to submit application?

3. Does their year starts from January and ends in December or based on when an application gets to one year?

4. please reply

1) carried over to the next year (i think). They definitely don't get thrown away.
2) at 8a.m. in the morning.
3) Probably.
4) OK, I did.

On a more serious note, don't worry about how many applications have been processed. If you qualify, you apply. It gets carried over to the following year. That is my impression anyway.
What do others think.

My research and understanding (from trackitt.com and other Immigration sites) has led to the conclusion that there is no particular trend. To me it seems to be purely Luck (LOL). I may be wrong, but take a look around yourself, you' ll find that they take some from the new applications and a few from the old applications. The speed and end result depends on factors such as " Submission of fully required and verifiable documents, Background checks" etc. I don't think their is a favorable time or period.
