Hi all,

I'm wondering if someone have the same issue like me where the e-CAS doesn't get updated with the status even we have go through the stage. I'm sure at least I should be "In process" because I've done the medical check and the result has been sent out to Buffalo.

eCas is a joke, specially when you apply outside of Canada... My has been in process since AOR but others weren't, when they transfered my case to Detroit it showed up 3 months later !

Hi

I am in the same boat. I applied as quebec skilled worker and buffalo received my application on Oct. 29, 2011. I did my medical exam on April 7, 2011. However, whenever I check my ECAS it says "application received" and the date is "Oct. 29, 2011". It has not been updated till that time considering the fact that I have my file number and I have done my medical exam.

Does anybody knows what is happening?
Thanks

I think they are short of hand to update e-cas. My status shows "application received" FOREVER, and they never update it, even my case has already been transfered to LA.

Hi , I just check today and it still showing "Application received" even though i receive an email from Buffalo that my file has been transferred to NY.....
I think too many applications make them busy..

FYI, there are only 3 types of "status updates" for especially PNP applicants. They are:
  • Application received
  • Application in process
  • Application approved/denied
So, e-CAS will not be updated for situations like: file transfer to local offices, medical received (unless they opened your file for processing) and so on. I want to point out one more thing here: your medical is sent to Ottawa first, it's reviewed there and then forwarded to Buffalo. It doesn't necessarily mean that they will open your file and start processing as soon as your medical reached Buffalo from Ottawa.

Besides, Buffalo will tell you NOT to rely on e-CAS for all your update if you ever email them for any update information.

Hi Rossei. some questions....from ottawa they review the medical results, if its ok will they forward it to the visa ofc or will just submit a report stating that the medical examination was ok? in my case, i applied oct 2010, got my aor/medical request april 2011. medical sent to ottawa may 2011, then file transfered to detroit sept 2011. and from the information i shared does it mean that my application is already in process?? please enlighten me...thanks so much....

I guess no1 knows which cases are to be transferred to local offices. Anyway, since your file has been transferred to Detroit; the PPR should come within 2 months. There seem no problem with your application or medical. If there was any sort of issue with your medical, you would have known. The health director from Ottawa would contact your DMP for this matter and you would be notified later.

I thought if there was a problem with your medical like you require additional testing or something is not normal, your DMP would let you know prior to sending your file to Ottawa?

Yes, the DMP should let you know prior to sending to Ottawa. But the final decision is made by Immigration Health Director in Ottawa. If he/she finds some problems which was overlooked/neglected by the DMP, he/she will contact the DMP for further testing/clarification.

Hi Rossei
Im wondering how you got PPR within one month. Usually it takes 4-5 moths.
Please share..thanks
